Also, I am licensed to practice as a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario. My practice is rooted in the relationships that clients and I build together, creating spaces of trust and security; that’s where healing can start.
I genuinely love working with people while witnessing them confront their challenges and grow as individuals. Providing counselling gives me an incredible sense of meaning and vitality. I approach my work through a trauma-informed perspective, rooted in compassion, and aware of systemic barriers.
I am experienced in working with individuals from various backgrounds; this includes individuals who are 2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous, Individuals who are neurodivergent, BIPOC, parents, young adults, and more. I work with individuals facing many differences challenges ranging from depression and anxiety, to domestic violence and interpersonal challenges. Furthermore, one of my areas of practice is working with individuals facing grief and bereavement, which includes counselling individuals with life-limiting-illnesses, their caregivers and loved ones.
My practice as a counsellor draws upon intersectional feminism, humanism, existentialism, and Buddhism. When relevant, we may use specific counselling techniques, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, psychoeducation, Narrative Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I graduated from Western University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Arts, Honors Specialization in Psychology and in 2019 a Masters of Arts, Counselling Psychology. I have completed over 100 hours of supervision from experienced psychotherapists and over 1000 hours of supervised counselling practice.
