I believe that counselling is a collaborative process between the therapist and the client. We will have 60-minute sessions where we engage in various activities, including: discussing your worries, exploring thoughts/feelings, building self-awareness, developing new skills, identifying patterns, and processing trauma. Together, we will work to meet your goals.

My therapeutic practice draws upon intersectional feminism, humanism, existentialism, and Buddhism. When relevant, we may use specific counselling techniques, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, psychoeducation, Narrative Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help structure and guide the therapeutic process.

One of my personal beliefs is that counselling should be accessible to everyone, not just folks who can afford to pay for it out-of-pocket. I offer sliding scale, so if you want to discuss pricing let me know. In addition, working with community organizations has always been something I have valued, and continue to do.
